Karengo Fronds are a 100% natural sea vegetable from the same family as Japanese Nori. Pacific Harvest Karengo comes from New Zealand's pristine waters enriched by Antarctic sea currents. Karengo has been enjoyed by the New Zealand Maoris for centuries. These natural fronds from the wild plant are famous for their unique, mild and slightly salty flavour.
This Karengo is substantially harvested from its natural sea-bed where it has been growing for thousands of years. It is selectively hand picked and then slowly sun-dried to perfection to preserve all the natural goodness.
Storage:
Karengo's natural goodness will last for many years if stored below 30 degrees C in a dry place away from direct sunlight.
How to use:
Karengo can be eaten as a nutritious snack straight out of the bag and is delicious sprinkled over soups, stews, salads, sandwiches, vegetables, pizza, eggs, rice, tofu, seafood and more. Roasting brings out a subtle nutty flavour.
